Racing toward Molokai Hoe

August competition brought Na Leo paddlers race bling in Dana and Oceanside, paving the way for a great Catalina 9-man Challenge. The 27 miles (or 31 for the men’s race) to and from Catalina Island is the jewel in the crown and last race of the season in the Southern California Outrigger Racing Association’s  race circuit.

Good luck to our Na Leo men’s crew as they draw one step closer to their goal to be the first crew from Arizona to paddle the Kaiwi Channel between Molokai and Oahu for the Molokai Hoe. Good luck too to our wahine, who will represent at the Pailolo Challenge, at Na Wahine O Ke Kai and the daring duo (Vince and Shawna) taking on the Chattajack  Challenge. Whether it’s Prone, OC2, OC2, OC6 or V1 – we’re looking to learn, grow and achieve together. Thank you to our families, friends and sponsors for helping us reach toward our goals.
