Winner Winner – Kalua Pig Dinner

Two Arizona outrigger paddlers distinguished themselves in October on small craft, coming second in prone (Vince San Nicolas) and third in women’s OC1 (Shauna Hecker) at their first 31-miler Chattajack Challenge in Tennessee. More than 500 paddlers (SUP, kayak, OC1, OC2, prone, surfski) came out to be part of the challenge. We also had a first place finish in OC2 at Another Dam Race in Parker, AZ. by Ceci Ng and Margaret Coulombe in November. Congrats for representing Na Leo O Ke Kai proudly everyone!

Help support our club and our paddlers, please. Order up your Kalua Pig during our annual fall fundraiser. Pick-up day  is Nov. 12, noon-3 p.m. To place an order:  johngallaudet@gmail.com

Please join our FaceBook page for updates and come out to paddle. Next race: Another Dam Race in Parker, Arizona. See you on the docks!

Good Luck and safe travels

Our Na Leo O Ke Kai outrigger men’s crew was the first from Arizona to compete in the Molokai Hoe, which spans the 41 mile Kaiwi Channel between Molokai and Oahu. We are proud of our club and crew, who dream big and then make those dreams a reality…from creating the first AZ keiki crew and the first AZ women’s crew to go and medal at IVF World Sprints to now, another AZ first…our men’s crew doing the Molokai Hoe.

CONGRATULATIONS: Randy, Rich, Vince, Art, Eric, Steve, Greg, Jon (aka Roko) and Cole. Finish of 82 of 93 in 7:15:04. WAY TO ROCK IT, GUYS!
